Truly revolutionary, the 920i takes charge of process applications with dependability and ease. Up to 10 different screens can be programmed to change with the process, and graphic icons and messages show setpoint and function status. A variety of visual messages inform the operator at a glance when a batch or fill is in process and when it’s approaching target weights. When used in batching/mixing applications, one 920i indicator is capable of handling multiple scales, flow temperature and pulse. It can control hundreds of I/O setpoints, queuing such things as gates and conveyors. And, it has complete database capability for data storage, making it capable of performing yield management functions, tracking transactions and inventory records, to handling data manipulation and reporting.

With additional optional memory, the 920i can house multiple database files or it can have the capability to download the information to a standard data management software program on a PC. It also has complete network capability with DeviceNet™, A-B® Remote I/O, Profibus® DP, and Ethernet.

This indicator’s versatility doesn’t end at the circuit board, the 920i is available in four enclosures— from universal mount to panel mount. With its modular design, the 920i allows you to choose the options necessary for your current application, yet leaves room for future expansion.

Rice Lake ’s new 820i programmable HMI indicator/controller will revolutionize user programming like no other indicator on the market. Using an incredible PC-based software called iRite IDE (Intuitive Development Environment), the user can create a flow-chart-based program for the unit instead of having a technical programmer write the code.

Using iRite IDE, the user can graphically compile a truck scale program, for example. Targeted setpoints can be arranged and modified to expedite the flow of traffic. Using setpoints, you can control traffic lights, operator prompts, and the filling/discharging of loads. Additionally, the 820i will conveniently store up to 1,000 records for recall at anytime. Whatever your application, the 820i has the capability to streamline your process.

Standard features include an easy-to-read LCD display that allows for digits up to .75 inches high with space for displaying operator prompts and data entry. Built-in software functionality includes programmability for custom user programs, truck in/out, audit trail, master-remote, multi-range/multi-interval, rate of change, peak hold, and batching. This remarkable indicator even has a slot for pluggable options.

We’ve taken the speed of the 920i and wrapped it in the 820i. The multi-channel 820i has a selectable A/D measurement rate up to 960 updates/second, making it top-notch for high-speed checkweighing, batching and filling. The 820i options include Qwerty keyboard input, an Ethernet port, USB connection, and DC power input.

From the enclosure to the display and the hardware in-between, the 820i is in compliance with the European Union's Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive. It’s a Rice Lake first!

The compact, yet powerful 520 HMI digital weight indicator offers desktop and panel mount models which allow for easy integration into process control, batching, level control, checkweighing, and custom systems.

The 520 guides operators through weighing processes with a 16-character prompting display that can be programmed with up to eight different messages.

On-board communications enable stand-alone connections, while optional fieldbus or Ethernet interfaces make the 520 a powerful tool for capturing shop floor data and delivering it in real time. There’s also an option available for applications requiring BCD.

The 420 Plus HMI digital weight indicator is ideal for any industrial weighing application. It features a full numeric keypad which allows tare entry directly from the keypad for weighing the contents of totes, cylinders and containers, eliminating the need to scroll and toggle tare weight values.

A count mode allows keyed piece count and average piece weight. Two front-panel-accessible, free-running setpoints activate lights or buzzers.
