Rice Lake SURVIVOR PT Pit Type Truck Scale

Pit-type applications with deep clearance can take advantage of the extra-strength design of Rice Lake's PT Series. The same massive beams that run alongside the SR's design have been used underneath the PT model, providing our highest strength structure. The PT Series is available in both steel and concrete deck versions, both with manhole covers for easier access and servicability. Rice Lake customizes scales for retrofit to any existing pit size.

Weighbridge
When comparing truck scales, your most important consideration should be the structural integrity of the scale weighbridge. You want to invest in the strongest weighbridge available. Rice Lake’s weighbridge is designed with a higher steel content than competitive scales. Our heavy duty structural components provide a weighbridge that will accurately weigh the heaviest trucks, day in and day out.

Steel Deck

The grid-type design of the weighbridge on the PT steel deck model consists of a diamond checkered steel treadplate supported with a minimum of two 24” wide flange, 76 lb structural, longitudinal I-beams and a minimum of eight 6” wide flange, 35 lb cross beams. A minimum of eight longitudinal stringers run with the traffic flow.

Concrete Deck

The grid-type design of the weighbridge on the PT concrete deck model is supported by a minimum of eight 6” wide flange, 35 lb beams and corrugated forming pan. A minimum of eight longitudinal stringers run with the traffic flow

Load Cells & G-Force Mounting System

Each load cell has an individual capacity of 75,000 pounds, compared to only 50,000 pounds on many competitive models. Higher capacity load cells handle heavier loads with far fewer failures. Wire-braided copper transient bypass cables are provided at each load cell mount for individual load cell protection from direct lightning strikes to the scale or weighbridge.
