In the past, Rice Lake’s RoughDeck floor scales were frequently being converted into livestock scales. Customers were fitting them with racks and gates or chutes for weighing individual animals. The superior structural design of the RoughDeck made them perfect for livestock. Unlike most other scales, the RoughDeck floor scale utilizes a full 6 inch structural channel frame welded to a durable steel deck. The placement of underdeck supports minimizes deflection in all directions. And intermediate supports are added to prevent the top plate from “dishing” under heavy point loads.

Further, many scales retain side loads and suffer from poor return to zero when bumped laterally. Not so for the RoughDeck. It was engineered to use a steel and neoprene sandwich foot design called the SUREFOOT™. This pliable sandwich allows the stem and top plate some plasticity to move laterally and tilt independently of the bottom cup, allowing the foot to accommodate deflections and uneven floors.

RoughDeck SLV

The SLV offers the features of a RoughDeck floor scale modified to meet the demands of livestock weighing. The diamond treadplate and rigid structural steel channel frame provides durability for weighing sheep, goats, cattle, hogs, horses and more. The SLV can be customized for retrofit or unique applications.

SURVIVOR LS

This NTEP-certified Legal-for-Trade scale comes factory assembled with a structural steel frame and fabricated weighbridge. The LS can be permanently installed or used as a portable scale, making it the ideal solution for sale barns and private farms.

Custom sizes available, wood or steel deck. An optional steel pen with two end swing gates and access ramps are also available to help tailor the LS scale to your application.

SURVIVOR AG

The AG packs the performance of a SURVIVOR into a mid-size, mid-duty frame. The SURVIVOR AG comes complete with load cells, mounts and a fabricated weighbridge for a concrete platform, and offers top access to load cells.
The AG is available in concrete with a standard deck profile from 14" to 16" high, or with an optional steel deck. The AG is ideal for a variety of livestock and vehicle weighing applications.

SURVIVOR LV

The LV delivers a total system for use in new or existing livestock barns or processing plants. Each NTEP-certified Legal-for-Trade scale is custom built to fit the exact specifications and requirements of the application for which it is being installed.
